4 MICROFIBRE AND TNT HIGH-PERFORMANCE Clean cloths, active principles and microfibre We have three weapons at our disposal to reduce the risk of cross contamination: clean cloths, active principles and microfibre. A correct management of flat mops is the basis for reducing the proliferation of germs, as well as cross-contamination. This is why, particularly in the hospital environment, clean mops and cloths are used for every single room and the are prepared according to the highest standards. Since the transport and storage of wet mops creates an environment favourable to the proliferation of germs, it is recommended to use dry mops, soaking them shortly before actual use. To reduce or prevent possible transmission of germs, TTS recommends the preparation of its disposable cloths only before actual use, e.g. by soaking on demand, using authorised cleaning solutions or disinfectants. The disposable cloths are designed to offer a good cleaning autonomy, they are also available in microfibre to ensure a high performance professional cleaning: the mechanical action that characterizes the very thin fibres allows to effectively remove dirt. 5 Microfibre It is a fibre, whose thickness is less than 1 DTX (Decitex),able to remove and collect micro particles of dirt and germs.
